Something Borrowed

This season, I had the privilege of attending New York Fashion Week for the seventh (!) time. For me, it was a whirlwind of catching up with new and old friends, running around the city to a few shows and events, and absolutely freezing my bum off.

I survived the cold with the help of this vintage jacket (which sadly started to disintegrate as soon as I wore it—any tips on preserving it are welcomed!) and this wool plaid shirt I borrowed from my younger brother. He lives in the hills of Montana and has an enviable collection of vintage menswear. I’m so grateful he let me raid his closet over the holidays!

Back in Black

I know there are other colors in the sea… I really do. But when I’m aiming to look good in a hurry {aka, daily}, I reach for something from the black side of my closet every. single. time. A turtleneck with a short shirt. High waisted trousers with a cashmere sweater. An asymmetrical dress belted at the waist. All of these looks are raised to another level of chicness when done in pitch-black monotone.

M.Bottglieri Collection

January 4th, 2015 § 1 comment § permalink

Before the hectic season of holidays was upon us, I had the pleasure of participating in a photo shoot for the New York based fashion label M.Bottglieri. Fridays with DNA Footwear

September 12th, 2014 § 1 comment § permalink

Ohhhh hi! Long time no see, I know! The last sixth months have been pretty busy to say the least, as I’ve focused all of my time and creativity into working towards my dream job with this amazing company {but more on that soon!}.

That being said, my friends over at DNA Footwear just launched a beautiful new website, and it is amazing enough to pull me from my blogging hiatus once and for all! Their store is full of all of your favorite, classic shoe brands {at great prices}, from Birkenstock sliders to Swedish Hasbeen sandals to Frye boots. Personally, I’m saving up to snag these and would love to wear these with tights all winter!

To kick off their brand new website and blog, they’ve started a new series called “Friday’s With…”, where they have chats with up-and-coming fashion bloggers about their style and favorite footwear. I’m incredibly honored and excited to be the first blogger featured, so you should go take a look at the full interview right away! We discuss the best spots in my neighborhood, my advice for bloggers just getting started, and of course, shoes!

Thank you so much to DNA Footwear for having me!

See you soon loves! XO

A Day at the Library

April 8th, 2014 § 2 comments § permalink

A few weeks ago my friend Noah and I spent a perfect Sunday afternoon at the New York Public Library. We wandered around the beautiful halls, took lots of photos and even found some special goodies in the gift shop {like an art set and sweet birthday cards}. I wore a sensible all-American outfit – red, white and blue jeans – and we finished the day with brunch at one of our favorite spots. All in all, it was the perfect NYC day…
