The little things

As we all know, it’s the little things that matter most.

At the moment, this mantra also applies to my wardrobe and my daily style.  While on the wild ride that is the Dukan diet, losing 25 lbs., and still a ways from my goal weight, I am in a place where I really can’t buy any new clothes.  This is heartbreaking, since lovely summer dresses are filling the stores – but as I am going down a dress size every few weeks and swimming in many of my old clothes, I need to wait until I reach a constant weight before spending money on new ones.

Therefore, I’ve been indulging in “the little things” lately – namely perfume and summer delicates – to reward myself for my ongoing hard work and make life just that much more fun.

I have been living in these soft organic cotton shorts at home every evening, and just a spray of my ever-lasting favorite perfume is enough to make me feel fabulous, even on days where I’ve gained weight or feel otherwise unattractive (I can’t be the only one who has days like that 🙂 …).  Princess is so lovely, with undertones of chocolate and vanilla bean.  Mmmmm…

  • i feel your pain huny… i am not on the Dunkan diet but i have been eating differently and loosing as well and it makes shopping impossible. You look great btw… enjoy the panties!

    you’ve had Princess for so long 🙂 that scent always reminds me of you!!

    PS- I got my Dukan book in the mail, and have decided to start September first…you will be home soon after, and it seemed fitting.

      Ohhh, I’m so excited for you! Sept 1 sounds like a great time to start. Then you’ll be skinny AND ready to eat more normally (read: cookies) in time for the holidays! xxx
