This week has been terribly cold, rainy and all in all, the exact opposite of what I expected the second week of August to feel like.

But I pulled myself together {and pulled on an extra layer} and made the very best of it – by eating and drinking a lot with good friends.  This week was filled to the brim with a friend’s birthday dinner, beers with colleagues by the canal followed by running sushi, hot homemade soup on a date night with K, and Italian food shared with friends over glasses of red wine. Copenhagen may have the some awful weather, but there are infinite possibilities for fun and laughter if you just look for them.

Due to the terrible weather {not the shorts incident, I swear!} I have been wearing *gasp* pants quite a lot this week.  Of course to feel more like myself the addition of sky high heels is in order, but I’ve found that there is something so casually chic and classic about a flowing blouse and high waisted jeans.  I could wear this look over and over again.

Thank you again to everyone who wrote me this week with kind thoughts and words of encouragement.  You’re all so brilliant – and I’m so lucky to be able to share my stories with such wonderful people.  Opening up here in the “blogosphere” isn’t always easy, but I think it can add so much value and worth to a blog when someone opens up and speaks from the heart.

She is red is my outlet for sharing a glimpse into my creative side – which seems to be constantly overflowing.  I love being able to share pieces of myself with all of you – my favorite cocktail and homemade soup recipe, where I’ve been and what I’ve been doing, what I made and what I wore.  Sharing these things with the world makes me “up my game”, if you will.  It makes me excited to try new and better recipes and DIY projects, put together new outfits that I love, and especially to take even better photographs.

Thank you for sharing this journey with me – it is truly an honor to have you along for the ride.

Happy weekend luvs, xxx
