Recently I’ve been crazy about statement necklaces – the bigger, the bolder, the better!  So when Geneva inspired me with her recent list of DIYable ideas, I immediately set out to make my very own golden branch necklace.

I simply took two branches (from an apple tree!) with interesting curves and buds.  I wrapped them together and measured them to fit my neck comfortably.  After securing each end together with golden wire, I spray painted them gold and dried them outside overnight.

Finally I attached a piece of gold ribbon on each end so they could tie together easily.  Voila!

Now I’ve just got to make a few golden branch bracelets to match!!  Fall accessorizing: done and done.

{PS – this DIY took approximately 30 minutes of active time. Even I was able to fit it into a Monday evening between my hectic schedule! Horray!)
