Two Thousand Eleven

December 31st, 2011 § 2 comments

I can’t believe that this year is coming to an end… it seems like just the other day I was ringing in the end of 2010.  I have had so many incredible experiences in the last year, and they make me more excited than ever to embrace the New Year and all that it has to offer.  Here’s a little peek back at my 2011, and the joys I’ve had…

In January and February, K and I settled into our new apartment on Amager, and I did lots and lots of baking for our friends and colleagues.

In March, after dreaming of taking this leap for nearly two years, I started this blog and haven’t looked back since.

I also took a break from cupcake baking and started following the Dukan diet – then I lost more than 30 pounds.

In April and May, I spent nearly every waking minute with the love of my life.

Then in June, K and I went to Roskilde Musical Festival with all our friends, and partied like rockstars.

In July, I packed up my bags and traveled from rainy London

To the hot, hot south of Spain for a fairy-tale wedding.

In August, we celebrated K’s birthday, and took a few weekend getaways throughout Denmark.

In September, after two years of living in Denmark, I said goodbye to my life and loves in Copenhagen, and moved back to Oregon where I began my final year of university.  I brought Sofus the Cavalier home with me, and we became partners in crime.

In October, I celebrated my 23rd birthday with my family and friends in Oregon.

November came and went, and we celebrated the birthday of my wonderful mother – with pie too of course!

Then suddenly it was December, and I flew back to Copenhagen to spend the holidays with beautiful people {like this guy}.

Thank you so much for supporting she is red this year – I cannot tell you how much your comments, encouragement and kind words have meant to me.

So here’s to 2012!  I’m excited for some big changes and new adventures, and I’m especially excited to share every minute with you.

Happy New Year loves – you deserve it!!!

xoxoxo, A
