So true Miranda. As the weather warms up each year, florals and pastel hues seem to take over the shops and magazines. Everyone wants to wear them with bare legs, flat sandals, a fresh tan.
Except me. I usually avoid florals – finding it hard to pick out the right color scheme, the right fabric, and the right fit for a curvy, pale, redhead like myself.
But when I found this gem hidden in a sale pile at Zara, it was love at first sight.
I quickly tried it on over my clothes while waiting in the long checkout line. An elderly lady behind me tapped me on the shoulder, and said in Danish, “It suits you perfectly.”
I smiled and thanked her, placing the dress in my small “to buy” pile.
