On Saturday afternoon I had the incredible opportunity to attend Christian Siriano’s A/W13 fashion show in Chelsea, where I headed backstage to snap photos of the brilliant make-up and hair artists performing their magic.

Antoinette Beenders, Aveda’s Global Creative Director, swept models hair into intricate braided updos, while make-up artist Polly Osmond created a dramatic eye and smoldering look on their faces.

The result was a striking look that complimented Christian’s strong, beautiful Russian influenced designs. Christian said he imagined the girl wearing this collection is headed to the Russian opera, and I can see her perfectly: stepping out of a carriage and gingerly placing her heel in the snow.

The show itself was nothing less than spectacular, and it absolutely took my breath away. Each time a new look came out, the entire audience seemed to gasp altogether. We were spellbound.
Cheers to you Christian, for an amazing performance and wonderful 10th season!
Thank you so much to Nicole - who made this afternoon possible for me – it was a dream come true.
