Vintage Sunset

Sunday afternoon I headed to Williamsburg for wonderful mimosas and brunch at Station with two of my best pals.  After plenty of OJ and champs, we wandered towards the water to see the goods at Artists and Fleas and the Brooklyn Flea Market. My friend Bre scored some adorable vintage finds, but I just wasn’t having the same luck.  Then – just as I thought I’d be leaving empty handed – I spotted a $5 vintage bin and pulled out this little number…

White Bow Dress ~ Vintage {similar}, Sequin Clutch ~ Zara {similar}, Gold Studded Heels ~ Forever 21

I didn’t try it on until the next evening, when I happily discovered that it fit just right! I’ll admit, I was quite self-conscious at first {with my curves I typically stay far away from tight, white fabrics} but with the addition of sky high heels, bouncy waves, and the right underwear, I decided F$%& it! and just walked out the door.

I wore it out that evening with my best pal Royce {honestly one of the most amazing guys – and photographers! – that I’ve ever met}.  We ran around the streets {and the roof of course} trying to catch the last bits of daylight before our 9:30 dinner reservation at Butter.  It was a pretty magical evening, between the cool company, the gorgeous sunset, the in-cred-i-ble meal at Butter, and of course, my fun, new little white dress.

How do you feel about little white dresses?  Do you have any clothes you typically shy away from, that you’d like to rock? {Cause you know my advice on that subject now ;)}

xoxo loves!
