Exploring {With the New York Pass}

September 5th, 2013 § 2 comments

In the end of July, just before my sister-from-another-mister Mette flew home to Denmark, we spent a day exploring New York City with the amazing New York Pass.  This pass allows you into more than 80 attractions around NYC at no extra cost, so we planned a busy, fun day. Here’s a peek at our adventures…

~~

We met at the Empire State Building, where we took the elevator to the 86th floor and wondered how many marriage proposals occur there each day.  We also took a peek {above} at the New York skyline from a bird’s eye view {wink wink}.

Then we headed down to the South Street Seaport where we boarded a Manhattan by Sail ship.

On board, we soaked up the sun when it peeked through the clouds…

Enjoyed stunning views of New York City’s Financial District…

And the Brooklyn Bridge.

The rocking boat made us sleepy and relaxed, so we recharged with fresh filtered coffee at the South Street Seaport before continuing on.

After a stop-over at the MoMA Rain Room, we braved the real rain on the Top of the Rock….

Which made New York look a little more like Gotham

Until the sun peeked through the clouds just enough to end the day with a glorious sunset.

~~

All I can say is it was an AMAZING day, a wonderful way to end Mette’s month-long stay in New York, and a perfect opportunity for me to remember how much I love this incredible city that I now call home.  Thanks for letting me share!

xoxo loves
