Fridays with DNA Footwear

September 12th, 2014 § 1 comment § permalink

Ohhhh hi! Long time no see, I know! The last sixth months have been pretty busy to say the least, as I’ve focused all of my time and creativity into working towards my dream job with this amazing company {but more on that soon!}.

That being said, my friends over at DNA Footwear just launched a beautiful new website, and it is amazing enough to pull me from my blogging hiatus once and for all! Their store is full of all of your favorite, classic shoe brands {at great prices}, from Birkenstock sliders to Swedish Hasbeen sandals to Frye boots. Personally, I’m saving up to snag these and would love to wear these with tights all winter!

To kick off their brand new website and blog, they’ve started a new series called “Friday’s With…”, where they have chats with up-and-coming fashion bloggers about their style and favorite footwear. I’m incredibly honored and excited to be the first blogger featured, so you should go take a look at the full interview right away! We discuss the best spots in my neighborhood, my advice for bloggers just getting started, and of course, shoes!

Thank you so much to DNA Footwear for having me!

See you soon loves! XO

You’re Invited: 6 Shore Road & Saks

April 2nd, 2014 § 0 comments § permalink

On a surprisingly sunny afternoon last week, I took a short walk from my SoHo office to meet the team behind 6 Shore Road – a brand full of bright colors and fun silhouettes that is beautifully “inspired by lazy beach days at Sunset Beach”.  I met with 6 Shore Road’s founder and designer Pooja {a gorgeous world traveler, who grew up in India, Hong-Kong and Panama City!} – and Monica, her amazing Director of Sales.

Their studio was beautiful, vibrant and full of warmth, much like their new Resort 2014 collection. Tonight {Wednesday, April 2} from 6 – 8pm, 6 Shore Road will be debuting the collection at Saks 5th Avenue in New York City, and you’re invited!  Take a look through their bright swim suits and chic daywear while sipping Vita Coco cocktails, get your own henna tattoo, and say hello to special guest Christina, of everyone’s favorite blog Trop Rouge! Oh – and I’ll be there too, if you want to say hi!

Here’s hoping to see you there loves!! I cannot wait for this taste of summer 🙂

Best Places to {Eat, Play, See} in NYC

Living in New York City is an experience like no other.  It truly is the “city that never sleeps” — perhaps because with so many amazing attractions, restaurants, sights, shops, people and possibilities, it’s hard to spend much time at all in bed {even though you pay half your income on it each month}.  There is so much competition in the city, that restaurants have the unique opportunity to fill niche markets: gourmet cheese and wine cafes, Coyote Ugly-themed gay bars, burger-joints dressed in Victorian decor…. you name it, NYC has it.

I’ve been very lucky in many ways in the last six months I’ve spent in this incredible city, but particularly in terms of finding friends with impeccable taste and a flair for adventure.  They have introduced me to amazing places from day one, which made my move here a million times easier {and a million times more fun!}.  Now that I work as a hotel concierge in the city, it’s my job each day to help tourists find such places during their stay here.  I’ve learned a whole lot over the past six months, so I think it’s high time I shared my city knowledge with you as well!

What do you think about that??! » Read the rest of this entry «

She is Red {Turns Two}

It’s amazing to think that two years have passed since I sat down and wrote this first post. Everything has changed… yet, at the same time, nothing has. I may live in New York City with a new job and new dreams, but I’m still just a girl in love with a Danish boy who likes to bake cakes.

Some things just never change!
