{An incredible presentation by Rebecca Vallance in the Hudson Hotel}

I just wanted to pop by and say HAAAAAYYY because, let’s be real, it’s been a while!  Here’s a little glimpse into my latest adventure – my 5th season of New York Fashion Week!  I can’t believe it’s been just two years since I showed up in NYC with a suitcase and a dream to see what NYFW was really like.  Now I have the privilege to receive invitations with my name on them twice each year, so I can go watch people change the future of style one outfit at a time. Dreams truly do come true, and I feel lucky and grateful every day! » Read the rest of this entry «

Bath Linens {Small Spaces}

January 24th, 2014 § 1 comment § permalink

I recently read a post on A Cup of Jo where Erin Boyle shared her tips for living in a small space {a 240-square-foot studio, to be exact}.  One tip she recommended was to use quick-drying towels in the bathroom, to save space and cut down drying time:

“We’re linen towel converts. Our tiny bathroom doesn’t get much ventilation, but linen towels dry so quickly that there’s no musty smell to contend with.”

In our tiny bathroom, I imagine converting to linen towels could be an absolute godsend – they’d be pretty, useful, and stay fresh/dry for far longer than our current towel collection {which is mismatched and takes at least two full cycles in the dryer to dry out}.  I’m considering these {above} or these for example.

Has anyone out there tried linen towels and loved them? Are they hard to get used to?  Please share any tips you may have, so I can convince Josh this is the right move for us ;)

The sales are ON kids, so it’s time to use a little of that Christmas money on pieces that will bring you into 2014 with style. As usual, Zara and ASOS are getting most of my attention, with gorgeous sale items and damn good prices.

My favorites, clockwise as seen above:

Zara Black Dress // Zara Studded Leather Flats // Asos Gold Heeled Pumps // Asos Oxblood Heels // Zara Gold Heel Ballerinas

Happy 2014 darlings!

PS – Since I worked nonstop through the holidays {ah the beauty of the hotel/tourism industry!} I haven’t had much time to reflect on 2013/look ahead into 2014 yet. But I do have lots in store and lots to share, so I’ll see you soon ok?!

PPS – I received an iPhone 5S for Christmas this year {thank you mom and dad!!} so my Instagram is seeing more action then ever. Stop by and say hello!

Uncommon Goods {Holiday Giveaway!}

December 18th, 2013 § 1 comment § permalink

Since moving into my little New York City apartment with Josh this summer, I’ve had an amazing time sourcing items to decorate our tiny space. I love br0wsing flea markets, boutiques, and even the street {!} to find unique, affordable items to make our little basement a home.  So when I discovered Uncommon Goods — an online company based right here in New York City with hundreds of beautiful, unique items to choose from — let’s just say I was hooked.

In line with the holiday season of giving, the team over at Uncommon Goods was wonderful enough to send me Bucky Jr. {the handsome cardboard deer you see above} as a gift.  But the gift giving doesn’t stop there! Uncommon Goods is also giving away a $50 giftcard for one of YOU to spend as you wish this Christmas {whether on yourself, or on your loved ones — don’t worry, we won’t tell either way!}.
